Disney Cruise Line announced via their website on July 23 that beginning August 9, the Disney Dream will resume sailings out of Port Canaveral in Florida.
The Dream will not be sailing to any ports other than Disney’s private island Castaway Cay initially.
Our focus remains on operating our ships in a responsible way that continues to create magic for all on board. We are resuming sailing in a gradual, phased approach that emphasizes multiple layers of health and safety measures, developed in consideration of guidance from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other medical experts.Disney Cruise Line
At this time, Disney has not announced when The Dsney Fantasy and Disney Wonder will resume their sailings. Disney Fantasy departures through August 28, 2021, Disney Wonder departures through September 19, 2021 and Disney Magic departures in the United States through November 4, 2021 have all been suspended.
Disney Magic SailingsThe Disney Magic is sailing in the United Kingdom for a limited time this summer on short voyages exclusive to UK residents.
Guests can book their cruises with peace of mind, knowing there are new options available on select sailings that allow you to change your sail date or receive a full refund. View Details.
Disney is not requiring that all passengers be vaccinated. However, they are strongly recommending vaccinations for all guests.
Pre-Trip COVID-19 Testing: Guests MUST provide proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken between 5 days and 24 hours prior to the sail date. This test will not be covered by Disney and is at the cruisers expense. Disney Cruise Line has secured a special rate of $98.33 per PCR test (which includes a 3.5% processing fee) through our third-party vendor, Inspire Diagnostics. Guests may also obtain their PCR test from any independent testing supplier. Guests who are fully vaccinated may choose to provide proof of vaccination instead of undergoing COVID19 pre-trip testing. To learn more about how to provide proof of your negative COVID-19 PCR test result, please visit: Before Leaving Home: Know Before You Go.
Embarkation COVID-19 Testing: Guests are required to undergo a rapid PCR COVID-19 test administered by Inspire Diagnostics at the terminal prior to boarding. Guests with positive COVID-19 test results, as well as those in their travel party, will be denied boarding. The $65 test fee will be charged to the folio of all Guests 12 years and older. Disney Cruise Line acts as the paying agent for Inspire Diagnostics and will remit the entire cost of the COVID-19 test to Inspire Diagnostics. Guests who are fully vaccinated may choose to provide proof of vaccination instead of undergoing COVID-19 Embarkation Day testing.
Fully Vaccinated Guests
Guests who are fully vaccinated may choose to provide proof of vaccination in order to be exempt from pre-trip and Embarkation Day testing requirements (unless arriving from outside the United States) and travel insurance requirements. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) considers people to be fully vaccinated 14 days after the final dose has been administered.
All Guests (ages 2 and up, including those who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19) are required to wear face coverings indoors. Exceptions include when Guests are in their staterooms or actively eating or drinking (while stationary and maintaining an appropriate physical distance). Face coverings are not required for Guests outdoors while on board the ship and at Disney Castaway Cay. Face coverings may be required in ports of call based on local government requirements.
Head over to our Etsy Shop to get your own Disney inspired face coverings. Mark your calendars! We will be introducing Disney Cruise Line inspired face masks in sequin and non sequin designs on July 29!
All face coverings should:
- Fully cover an individual’s nose and mouth and allow the Guest to remain hands-free.
- Fit snugly but comfortably against the side of the face.
- Be secured with ties or ear loops.
- Be made of 2 layers of breathable material, either disposable or reusable, that is not elastic in nature, such as spandex and elastane.
Guests may bring face coverings that have an integrated transparent plastic panel to aid in viewing the wearer’s mouth. These face coverings must:
- Fully cover an individual’s nose and mouth and allow the Guest to remain hands-free
- Be a fabric face covering featuring a solid plastic panel containing no openings that is attached to the fabric on all sides using tight knit stitching
- Meet all face covering requirements listed above
At this time based on guidance from health authorities, neck gaiters, open-chin triangle bandanas and face coverings containing valves, mesh material or holes of any kind are not acceptable face coverings. Costume masks are not considered appropriate and are prohibited from being worn.
The use of face coverings is not a substitute for physical distancing.
Arrive On Time
To promote physical distancing in the terminal and reduce the time needed to board the ship, Guests should complete their Online Check-In and select a port arrival time at home.
Please note: All Guests and Castaway Club Members—including Platinum Members—are required to select a port arrival time before making their way to the cruise terminal.
For the health and well-being of everyone, Guests are not permitted at the terminal or in parking areas before their scheduled port arrival time and will be turned away if arriving early.
Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
