Disneyland Resort Announces Limited Capacity ‘A Touch of Disney’ Event
A new limited-capacity event is coming to Disneyland and we couldn’t be more excited.
Tickets will be available for purchase beginning March 4. The event will run on select dates between March 18 and April 5.
A Touch of Disney, a limited capacity event will begin on March 18 at Disney California Adventure. The event will not include attractions but will have food and drinks, characters (yay) event specific merchandise and fun and unique photo opportunities.
In addition to that, a new event specific soundtrack will be piped in.
Some beloved Disney food favorites will be available like Churros and Dole Whips and more specific foodie items will also be available. There will be plant-based menu items, and new twists on old favorites from around the resort. Many items will be served snack-sized and can be found across the park, including at six seasonal and themed marketplaces. Mobile ordering will also be available on the Disneyland Resort app.
The event will feature six festival booths along the parade route, run five days a week and take place throughout DCA with certain areas not accessible.
Characters Disney announced for the event include Mater and Lightning McQueen in Cars Land, Joy and Sadness at Pixar Pier, and Mickey and Minnie Mouse and of course their best pals.
Select retail locations will be open, including the shops along Buena Vista Stree. Outdoor carts will also be around offering event themed merchandise.
Starting March 11, table reservations for Lamplight Lounge and Carthay Circle Lounge – Alfresco Dining will be made available for A Touch of Disney. You will need an event ticket to gain entry and reservations are recommended to take advantage of these locations.
Tickets are $75 and include admission to the event, parking at Mickey & Friends parking structure, unlimited downloads of Disney PhotoPass photos taken during the experience, and a $25 dining card valid toward the purchase of food and non-alcoholic beverages during A Touch of Disney.
Tickets will be released on a rolling basis throughout the course of the event timeline. Tickets must be purchased in advance online and are only good for admission on the specific date indicated on your ticket.
Event hours are noon to 8 p.m., with A Touch of Disney happening Thursdays through Mondays. Disneyland Resort Legacy Passholders will be able to enjoy a “special opportunity” during this experience; details will be shared on the Disneyland Legacy Passholder Facebook page at a later time.
Buena Vista Street will remain open to the general public until March 14 after returning for shopping and dining in November as part of the Downtown Disney shopping district.
The limited time food and beverage event will bring more than 700 Disney cast members back to work in addition to the 230 employees that have already returned to work along Buena Vista Street.
Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
