These cookies are easy, and pack a lot of chocolate flavor. There is no chilling required. The dough comes together quickly and these come out great everytime.

Let’s get started.

Start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees. Spray two baking sheets with baking spray or line with Sil pat mats.

In a medium bowl, sift together your flour, cocoa, and salt. Set aside for use in a few minutes.

In your mixer, mix your softened butter and sugar and beat at high speed until fluffy. About 3 minutes.

Add egg yolk and vanilla extract, and beat on medium to high speed until just combined. Scrape bowl as needed using a spatula.

Add your sifted dry ingredients. Mix on low until just combined.

Add your milk until your dough becomes the proper consistency. This is a thick dough but you don’t want it to be dry.

Place your sprinkles in a small bowl. I like to use nonpareils best with these or a white sanding sugar. Large sprinkles may melt and spread. Jimmies work well also.

Roll balls of uniform dough.

I use a small cookie or ice cream scoop.

Completely coat each ball in your sprinkles and place on baking sheet. These cookies spread slightly.

Bake cookies for 10-12 minutes.

Unwrap your Hershey Kisses. I used a couple of my limited edition holiday favorites. I love the Hot Cocoa and the Cherry Cordial with this. It’s like having a little surprise with the cookie when you bite into the kiss.

Allow cookies to cool for about 7 or 8 minutes before topping with kisses.

You want to be able to press the kiss into the dough about halfway but you don’t want the kisses to melt and lose their shape.
