Walt Disney World implemented their new Disney Park Pass Reservation System when the parks reopened in July 2020 following the pandemic shutdown. While many included us hoped that the system would phase out (hopefully) in the new year, it looks like that won’t be the case.
The pandemic isn’t going anywhere and Disney is adapating. In order to ensure crowd control and manage restricted park capacities for all Walt Disney World theme parks, Disney has extended the system into 2022.
Josh D’Amaro, Chairman, Disney Parks, Experiences and Products mentioned a while back that the reservation system was in fact, “here to stay”.
When first introduced Disney had announced the system would be in place through (at least) September 21 but on the Park Pass Reservation website where theme park reservations can be booked (can also be booked on the My Disney Experience app) theme park reservations are available through January 14, 2022.
