Another blow to Disney Cruise Line, New Ship Will be Delayed.
The hits just keep coming for the cruise industry. Some cruise lines are selling off older ships, sailings continue to be pushed back and the CDC’s No Sail Order is still in effect.
That order is currently in effect through September 30 but is likely to be extended. The order states that there are to be no cruises in or out of any U.S. ports.
Carnival Cruise Lines has canceled some sailings into 2021 and has plans to sell 18 of their ships.
Princess Cruises just recently canceled almost all sailings in the Caribbean and several other areas through at least Dec. 15.
Disney Cruise Line has canceled all sailings into December as well.

In addition, we have just learned that the latest addition to the Disney Cruise Line, the Disney Wish, which was scheduled to set sail in 2022 has been forced to delay its inauguration. At this time a new timeline has not been released for the ship.
The other ships that are under construction in the same shipyard at the Meyer Werft ship yard in Germany have reported delays of approximately 6 months.
Disney also has two other ships that have been announced to be in the works to hit the high seas which would bring their fleet to seven. There is no word on the status of the other two new ships at this time.
