Fall is a beautiful time in Colorado. Check out these hidden gems to stay at during your autumnal travels.

Although New England is more well known for their fall displays, Colorado is nothing to shake a stick at. We have dug up some fun and amazing places to stay during your autumn Colorado travels.

Let’s get started.

Aspen Meadow Cabin

This is a privately owned cabin located about 20 miles west of Colorado Springs and 8 miles west of Woodland Park. This gorgeous cabin is perfect for viewing the fall Aspens from your gorgeous porch with a steaming cup of morning coffee. You might even catch site of an elk, deer or other wildlife strolling through the grounds.

With views of Pikes Peak, this 2,800 square foot cabin offers plenty of room for your crew. You will really get a taste of Colorado. The cabin is tastefully decorated in a western lodge theme with accents of leather, log and antiques. It is very warm and comfortable just waiting for couples, families and friends to enjoy.

Annie’s Mountain Retreat

Estes Park is a gorgeous and beautiful place to visit in the spring, summer and fall. Annie’s Mountain Retreat offers a number of log cabins perfect for a cozy fall retreat. There are four cabins to choose from. Each with its own rustic charm. These quaint mountain retreats offer gorgeous views and ultimate relaxation.

Three of the cabins are along the Big Thompson River. If you’ve never slept alongside a river, it’s incredibly soothing and relaxing. The River Cabin features a beautiful river rock fireplace. The Mountain Cabin includes a large deck overlooking the river and charming moose and bear decor. The Romantic Cottage feautures a gas fireplace in the bedroom for coze nights along the river. The Carriage House is the only cabin not along the river but has a large porch and a soaking tub in the cottage.

Glen Eden Resort

Glen Eden Resort is a located just outside of Steamboat. These charming cabins are individually owned and are uniquely customized. Some are more modern and others are rustic. Some have loft areas and many are riverside.

We love these cabins. We have stayed there several times. Some are dog friendly which is a definite plus for us. We always choose a cabin by the river. The property has a hot tub, outdoor activity areas and a bar. Just before Steamboat, it is an easy drive to get to Steamboat lake for hiking, fishing and more. You are also close to winter activities for year round adventure.

A Reel Mountain Getaway

Just past Breckenridge off Highway 9 is the quaint town of Alma. A Reel Mountain Getaway Cabin is a stunning cabin inside and out. The cabin is three bedrooms and is perfect for a larger crowd. Complete with a private pond, a hot tub and stunning views. This is the picture perfect Colorado experience.

We can’t get enough of this breathtaking kitchen especially the rock work on the bar. The master bath provides the ultimate in relaxation with a jacuzzi tub.

Silver Lake Lodge

If you are looking for a mountain retreat an easy drive from Denver and are just looking for a rustic, Colorado room, The Silver Lake Lodge could be for you. Located just outside the quirky town of Idaho Springs, this lodge has a number of rooms that bring the spirit of Colorado to life. This area is rich with history as it is home to the site of the first gold rush in Colorado.
