I Got Home From a Hot Summer Run With Fifteen Minutes to Get Presentable For a Video Call With Our CEO

There are no rules in quarantine! Okay, maybe there are a few rules. One of the rules for me at least is when you have a meeting on the books with the CEO of your company, you are always on video and you should probably not look like a hot mess.

I often take a run on my lunch break. It’s a great way to break up the day and in the spring and fall when the middle of the day isn’t scorching hot, it’s the perfect lunchtime treat.

I had exactly an hour and fifteen minutes to get my run in. Cutting it close yes but when you have time you have to make the most of it. Threw my shoes on, grabbed the dogs and out the door we went.

It was a hot one and I looked like a drowned rat upon my return. With fifteen minutes to go before I had to video call the CEO, I had to move fast.

First things first, dry shampoo is my best friend. I adore dry shampoo and I don’t know what I was doing with my life before I discovered it. The Not Your Mother’s Dry Shampoo is my preference. I have tried expensive brands and other drugstore brands and this one just takes the cake.

Because I was running, my hair was wet so I dried it with my hairdryer and then sprayed with the dry shampoo and blow dried again. I honestly think that is the way to do it. As someone who has always run on my lunch break, that’s what I would do to bring the hair back to glory.

Now for the face. Clock’s ticking, we are down to just a few minutes.

First I took my beauty sponge with my L’oreal Lumi Glotion. I use the shade medium.

Next up for concealer, we’re going in with the big guns. Too Faced Born This Way. This concealer is one of my holy grails. Full disclosure, I prefer the original Born This Way concealer but I believe it has been discontinued so now I am using the The Two Faced Born This Way Super Coverage Multi-Use Concealer. It is a full coverage concealer and it’s pretty great.

I have naturally blonde hair so my eyebrows are blonde. I am really self-conscious about my brows so even if I don’t put any other makeup on, I will almost always do my brows.

I have several brow products that I use and love but today I went with my super simple and lovely Billion Dollar Brows. It’s a pot of product and a double ended brow tool that has a spooley and a brush.

Look at that! Almost back to human. It’s amazing what a little concealer and a cold fan blowing right on your face can do.

Next, bronze up. When in doubt, glow it out. I love a shimmer bronzer and if you do too a great option is actually the Too Faced Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush in Peach Beach. Although it’s a blush, I love this as a bronzer and use I use it as such.

Adding some depth and dimension to your look can really freshen you up fast. Especially for a video call. Cameras on computers can be pretty unforgiving so I like to get all the help I can to brighten up when I have to get on a video call.

In my Ipsy Glam Bag, I received the Autobalm Grl Pwdr Cheeks on the Glow. It’s a great blush, bronze and highlighter kit. I especially love to travel with this palette. I used the blushes in this palette on my cheeks.

Last but not least the eyes. We are running out of time friends so I grabbed a super simple and pretty neutral palette. Full disclosure, the Too Faced Born This Way Natural Nudes palette is not my favorite palette of all time. It’s a good neutral palette and it when it was released I was beyond excited to get my hands on it. It is everything I love in a palette and the color story is amazing but the formula just didn’t blow me away.

If you don’t mind working the shades it is a beautiful palette and I love all of the shimmer shades.

For this simple eye look we are going to use, Cocoa, Warm Rose, Sparkling Sable and Rose Gold.

Cocoa in the crease and then Warm Rose to blend it out and spice up the outer V area. Then I went in with Sparkling Sable on the lid and blended into Cocoa and Warm Rose. Finally, Rose Gold on the inner corner and brow bone.

I topped off the look with a bit of mascara.

Voila! We’re done!
