Additional Projects Potentially Removed From EPCOT Overhaul

Projects omitted from release could mean the end for A previously announced project.

As Disney attempts to recoup millions of dollars in losses following the extended closure of parks and cruises it appears another project may be on the chopping block.

Over on, the new “World Celebration” collection debuted today. One project was noticably missing. World Celebrations Festival Center was not to be found.

Previously announced projects for the overhaul of EPCOT had already been postponed and more were anticipated as Disney worked to balance the books.

The World Celebration collection only revealed three posters this morning instead of the four that had originally been announced. The World Celebration Festival Center poster being omitted from the collections release could be quite telling for the future of this project.

The details of the EPCOT overhaul were originally announced at the 2019 D23 convention.
