Walt Disney World Attraction to be Closed Through Summer

Peoplemover Attraction at Magic Kingdom Will Not Reopen Until November

Disney has just announced that the PeopleMover, which is a popular attraction at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World is under refurbishment and will not reopen until after Halloween of this year.

Magic Kingdom reopened on July 11th but the Tomorrowland PeopleMover did not. Nearly a month later, Disney has finally announced that the attraction will be undergoing an extensive refurbishment and will not open until fall.

The Tomorrowland PeopleMover has officially been added to the refurbishment list and has a tentative end date of October 31, 2020. That is not a firm date for reopening but a tentative date.

The attraction had been iffy for some time prior to the extensive park closure for coronavirus. There was even a heavy plume of smoke reported months back. Disney has not released information on the construction and what will be done.

Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
