Disney Has Just Announced That 2020 Ticket Sales Will Resume on July 9

Walt Disney World parks reopen to guests with valid theme park admission and Disney Park Passes on July 11 when Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom reopen their gates. EPCOT and Hollywood Studios will reopen to guests on July 15.

As we previously reported, 2020 ticket sales had been temporarily paused as Disney sorted out existing and cancelled park and resort reservations.

That all changes tomorrow. Disney has just announced that ticket sales will resume on July 9.

According to Disney Parks Blog

We had temporarily paused 2020 ticket sales and Disney Resort hotel bookings so we could focus on helping existing ticket holders and Annual Passholders plan their visits with the new Disney Park Pass theme park reservation system. We are glad to share that beginning tomorrow, July 9, we will resume ticket sales and Disney Resort hotel bookings for 2020. Guests will soon be able to purchase new tickets and plan future visits throughout this year with the Disney Park Pass system, which we are using to help manage attendance during this reopening period.

Disney went on to say that “tickets and Disney Resort hotel bookings may be released at different times throughout the day”. If you are looking to make a reservation be patient whether you are online or on the phone.

Disney will use virtual waiting rooms as needed in order to manage high volumes of guests.

Guests will still need to purchase Disney Park Pass for each day that you plan on entering the parks. That is in addition to having valid theme park admission. Reservations for theme parks can be made at DisneyWorld.com/DisneyParkPass.

Reservations are limited and subject to availability. During the phased reopening, some tickets, ticket options and Disney Resort hotels are unavailable.
