Updates to Monorail and Skyliner Transportation Options at Disney Park Reopening
The Disney World reopening is rapidly approaching. Two additional transportation options that will be available to guests. Disney will be bringing back both the Monorail and Skyliner transportation options with theme park reopenings.
The monorail will begin partial service on July 11. The same day that Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom parks reopen. The Magic Kingdom line will be the only line to reopen on July 11. It will include both express and resort service.
At the time of publishing Disney has not announced a reopening date for the Epcot Line. Epcot and Hollywood Studios both reopen on July 15. If Disney does not reopen the Epcot line when the park reopens, guests staying at the Monorail resorts would need to bus to Epcot. Guests parking at the Ticket and Transportation Center would also have to rely on bus transportation to get to Epcot.
Disney has also announced that the Disney Skyliner will reopen on July 15. The Disney Skyliner is a state-of-the-art gondola system that allows guests a direct transportation option from Disney’s Hollywood Studios and International Gateway at Epcot to the following Walt Disney World Resort hotels: Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort and the brand new, Disney’s Riviera Resort.
