Disney Springs is going through a phased reopening that starts today, May 20. 44 third-party shops prepare to open today with Disney owned shops and restaurants preparing to open on May 27. We have outlined the steps that Disney is putting in place including requiring that all guests ages 3 and up MUST wear an appropriate face covering that covers both the nose and the mouth and that temperatures will be taken upon entry.

For a full list of shops opening on May 20 check out the WESH article that provides that information HERE!

There is much dispute regarding whether Disney can enforce these regulations and we have that answered as well including the explanation of a law that was previously in affect regarding the illegality of masks in the state of Florida. For more information on that, click HERE!

In addition, Disney released a disclosure prior to opening that essentially removes Disney from liability should guests contract COVID-19 while visiting Disney Springs or Disney property. Upon entering Disney property, guests assume ALL responsibility and assume all risk related to COVID-19 exposure.

Signs have been set up throughout Disney Springs reminding guests they are voluntarily assuming all risks associated with possible exposure to COVID-19, including severe illness or death.

Only two garages will be open as Disney limits capacity. At the entrances, all guests over the age of three will be required to wear a facemask and have their temperature taken. It must be 100.4 degrees or lower to be admitted. If someone does show a temperature of 100.4 or higher the person and their entire party will be denied admission.

Disney will have excited castmembers stationed around the entrances happily greeting guests back to this section of the magic as only Disney can do.

Other precautions set up include line markers that indicate social distancing, hand-washing stations, pathway signs indicating walking directions and reminders to wear your mask.

Thank you for stopping by and for the love of the mouse, never forget, that it all started with a mouse.
