Disney had previously announced that cruises set to sail through the end of April 2020 had been suspended and those booked on those sailings would receive a full refund to or a credit for a future sailing within 15 months of the original date.
On Friday, April 10, Disney updated their website and began sending emails to cruises set to sail t hrough May 17, 2020 that the cancelation of cruises has been extended through that date.
Unfortuanately for us, that includes the cruise that we were set to sail on departing on May 16 on the Disney Fantasy.
Various messages are being sent to travel agents and guests on several sailings regarding the cancelation and reason for the cancelation. You can view a portion of one such message below that we were sent just now regarding our sailing.
The Disney website has also been updated with the new information regarding which sailings are affected and what that means for cruisers.
In light of this new information, if your cruise is affected please be patient when calling representatives as they are being flooded with a new influx of guests calling to get refunds or move their cruise dates.
We have a vlog out that details all of the information you need on getting your refund or rebooking your cruise including using placeholders and more! Check that out HERE!
Stay safe friends and stay positive. It’s okay to be upset about travel plans that are changed or canceled. It’s okay to be frustrated and it’s okay to feel the way you feel. It’s important to remain positive and have a good outlook. We will get through this and we can do it together. This too shall pass and we will come out of this situation with a new outlook on what is important!
