98The festival runs from March 4, 2020 to June 1, 2020 and marks the end of the festival season as at the conclusion of the festival, there is a break for the Summer months before Food and Wine Festival returns in August. The festival includes a number of wonderful kitchen from around the world highlighting flavorful dishes and drinks but there is more than food.

From the gorgeous flowers to events and even concerts. There is so much to love about Flower and Garden and we want to point out some of the things we are most looking forward to.

Let’s jump right in.

Festival Blooms – The scape of gorgeous flowers, thousands of flowers that create vibrant, floral displays flanking Future World’s East and West lakes. Be sure to also check out the floating gardens in the water of these lakes.

Florida Fresh Kitchen – Spicy Blackened Shrimp and Cheddar Cheese Grits with Brown Gravy and Local Sweet Corn Relish and Florida Orange Groves Winery Key Lime Sparkling Wine from St Petersburg, FL. These are two returning favorites for the third straight year and I am thrilled. These are my top picks from the last two Flower and Garden Festivals. The Key Lime Sparkling Wine is so delicious and refreshing and perfect for the Florida spring and summer and that shrimp and grits is bursting with flavor and a hint of spice. Out of this world.

Garden Rocks Concert Series – Happening each night throughout the festival, there are some great names coming to play concerts that are included with theme park admission. The two I am most excited about are Daughtry, playing March 24 and 25 and Mark Wills, March 20- 23. Check out our blog post HERE for the full lineup of concerts.

Honey Bee-stro – Respect the bees and their work. We are super excited that this one is back again and can’t wait to get ahold of the honey-peach freeze again. This was so delicious last year and can come non-alcoholic, with the option for the Spike the Bee sipper cup and is also available with blueberry vodka.

Topiaries – The topiaries are some of the most imaginative and unique things to take in at the Flower and Garden Festival. Located all throughout the park, be on the lookout for some of your favorite characters created by Disney horticulturists incuding Beauty and the Beast located in the France pavilion, the Winnie the Pooh characters over in United Kingdom, Lady and the Tramp over in Italy and new for 2020 be sure to be on the lookout for the brand new Remy topiary in France.

New items that we can’t wait to try! The Citrus Blossom – Tuna Tataki Bowl with Spicy Yuzu Glaze, Mango, Avocado and Pappadam Crisp and the Orange Sunshine Wine Slushy and Jardin de Fiestas – Choriqueso Torta: Bolillo Roll filled with Chorizo and Monterey Jack Cheese, Avocado Mousse and Jalapeños and the Rosita Margarita: Rose Petal Liqueur, 100% Agave Tequila Blanco, Lemon and Cranberry Juices served with a Rose Petal Salt Rim. These are brand new items this year and they look amazing! Can’t wait to sink our teeth into these tasty delights.

English Tea Garden Presented by Twinnings – Located in the United Kingdom pavilion behind Twinnings Tea Shop, be sure to check out all of the large tea cups growing a variety of different tea leaves used to create various teas. There is also a complimentary tour that is available that lasts about 20 minutes and provides insight into the tea making process and the variety of leaves presented in the garden.

Trowel and Trellis – Even these meat lovers can get down with the plant-based dishes. We loved the Grilled Street Corn on the Cob with Savory Garlic Spread and the  Impossible™ Farmhouse Meatball with Lentil Bread, Spinach, Marinated Vegetables, and Creamy Herb Dressing. Defnitely worth checking out.
