Jungle Cruise Boat Sinks With Guests On Board at Walt Disney World

At approximately 12:30 pm, a boat named the Bomokandi Bertha began to sink at Walt Disney World. The boat, part of the attraction The Jungle Cruise was full of guests at the time. Guests were unloaded and the boat was towed away with no injuries to castmembers or guests though their shoes were quite watterlogged at the time they were offloaded.


This particular boat is one of two boats for the attraction equipped with a wheelchair lift.

A Twitter user using the handle @Synewaves captured photos of the boat, he was a guest onboard as the boat began to fill with water.


The attraction was closed for 105 minutes and has since reopened.

There is no official word from Disney regarding the cause of the issue.
