Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has reportedly signed a voiceover deal with The Walt Disney Company. This comes just days after the royal couple announced they would be stepping back from their senior duties as members of the British Royal family.

Meghan has signed on for a project that has yet to be announced in exchange for a contribution to Elephants Without Borders, an organization that is an ambassador for conservation and a voice for the quickly disappearing elephant population. According to their website, “EWB’s vision is conservation of Africa’s wildlife through research and education, ensuring a prosperous and compatible future between people and wildlife.”

The deal seems to have been signed prior to the announcement of Meghan and Prince Harry earlier this week that they would be stepping back from royal duties and would split time between the United Kingdom and North America.

For the birth of their first son Archie, Disney gifted the couple with a watercolor WInnie-the-Pooh piece.

While we don’t have confirmation on the type of project,  Walt Disney Studios’ Disneynature side produces nature documentaries typically narrated by high profile celebrities such as Morgan Freeman and Meryl Streep. Often these projects clude donations from The Walt Disney Company and film proceeds going toward various conservaton and wildlife organizations around the world.

Thank you for stopping by and for the love of the mouse, never forget, that it all started with a mouse.
