Regal Eagle Smokehouse Update

Last June Disney announced that a new dining location was coming to the American pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase.

The Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts and Barbecue (oy with the long names again Disney) is replacing the Liberty Inn later this year and will feature a “modern barbecue smokehouse” and will be preparing fine barbecue cuisine adjacent to the American pavilion promenade.

Guests can enjoy the sites and sounds of Epcot and the World Showcase and people watch with a bite of BBQ and a cold draft beer.

As for the menu, the Regal Eagle Smokehouse will be a fast-casual quick service dining location that will offer BBQ options from around the United States as well as craft brews.

There will be a Texas Beef Brisket sandwich to a South Carolina smoked sausage with a tangy mustard based sauce and caramelized onions, there is something for every BBQ lover.

Other BBQ options include a Kansas City smoked chicken, Memphis dry-run pork ribs, North Carolina chopped smoked port and a vegan BBQ jackfruit on vegan garlic toast.

It’s all about that sauce though am I right? Get your sauce on with lots of varieties including a spicy mop sauce, sweet BBQ, tangy mustard, and a vinegar-based sauce. If you want to pair your BBQ with a bit of greenery grab the Power Greens salad served with pulled chicken and a citrus twist.

We have more news about this new dining experiencing. The Regal Eagle was originally rumored to open in December 2019 but it looks like it is really coming along.

Disney did put out a press release recently that announced that the restaurant would be opening this winter and that it takes its name from Sam Eagle, from The Muppets. Sam Eagle will host a centennial cook-off – a salute to all cook-offs… but mostly barbecue. We love when characters are included in restaurants so this should be a fun detail.

Thank you for stopping by and for the love of the mouse, never forget, that it all started with a mouse.
