Mouse Gear, the largest merchandise location in Epcot is set to close for major reburbishment on January 4, 2020 as part of the massive Epcot Overhaul. The store will reopen in a temporary location in Innoventions East on January 5, 2020 and will remain open until the reburbishment of the main location is complete.

33However, ahead of this massive renovation, something new was spotted on New Year’s Day by PassholderTrav over on Instagram. There are now Annual Passholder exclusive checkout lines at Mouse Gear. These could be temporary for better crowd control within the tight spaces of Mouse Gear as it is currently configured or it could be permanent as a part of the refurbishment of the building.

We will find out in just a few days if these Annual Passholder checkout queues will travel to the new temporary location.

Always nice to see extra perks pop up for Annual Passholders throughout the parks and we are really interested to see if this is a new trend at merchandise locations or if they are just temporary crowd control efforts exclusive to Mouse Gear. Stay tuned!

Thank you for stopping by and for the love of the mouse never forget, that it all started with a mouse.

  1. It’s not a passholder exclusive checkout line, it’s so passholders know where to get their exclusive merchandise from. There is no passholder exclusive checkout – that line would be ridiculously long
