Pumpkin Spice Beignet Review And Surprise! Sneak Peak at The Flavor For The Holidays

Beignets are all the rage At Port Orleans French Quarter. They have always been delicious but when Disney made them Mickey shaped that sent them over the top. Absolutely worth a trip to this New Orleans themed Walt Disney World moderate resort.

1We love the regular beignets. They are fluffy and light and a perfect hint of sweet and then of course drenched in powdered sugar.

For fall, Disney rolled out the Pumpkin Spice beignets and those are available right now, for a limited time at Sassagoula Floatworks, the quickservice location at Port Orleans French Quarter.

We recently stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter for a quick weekend trip to Disney World and of course we had to get beignets.

I was so excited to try these and they absolutely did not disappoint.

If you go into this expecting a strong, over the top pumpkin spice flavor, these are not going to be your thing. I didn’t want that. I wanted it to be a perfect Disney beignet with a hint of pumpkin spice. Pumpkin spice scented beignets if you will and that is exactly what these were.

The beignets are just such a perfect, lightly flavored, delicate item. I am so glad that they didn’t take the flavor too over the top with the pumpkin spice and just gave it a hint of fall flavor. 10 out of 10 would recommend. The pumpkin spice doesn’t actually make it all the way through the beignets, it is only in the powdered sugar and spice mix that is dusted on top.

You can purchase 3 beignets for $4.99 or 6 for $6.99.

2There is also a pumpkin spice beignet sundae available at Sassagoula Floatworks for those who are looking for something that is a little more over the top. The pumpkin spice beignet sundae comes with vanilla ice cream, cranberry compote, fall sprinkles and whipped cream.

In other exciting beignet news, we have word, directly from castmembers at French Quarter that Disney will be bringing us a holiday flavor for the beignets as well!

3Come November, the pumpkin spice beignets will be replaced with gingerbread beignets! We are not staying at French Quarter for our holiday trip, but we love all things holiday especially Disney holiday, so this seems like the perfect excuse to visit Port Orleans French Quarter during our holiday trip to give these babies a try!

Thank you for stopping by and for the love of the mouse, never forget, that it all started with a mouse.
