We have already covered the concept art for the lobby and common areas for this new nature inspired Disney Vacation Club. The resort will include more than 900 guest rooms and will be the 16th Disney Vacation Club property.
The concept art that was released by Disney earlier this week shows the lobby area and includes numerous windows, highlighting the natural beauty of the area and bringing clean, modern lines inside as well as brings the outdoors inside with rock features, a lot of wood, high ceilings and an open-air concept complete with a large statue of Pocahontas.
The industrial, minimalistic design of the resort allows the natural wood, rock and other outdoor elements to take center stage at this new resort.
This post will highlight the resort rooms of this new DVC resort.
The hallways leading to the guest rooms are very minimal with neutral colors and clean lines. Light wall accents can be seen in the new renderings that show grasses and other outdoor designs brought indoors in light, shadowy accents.
The standard rooms show Disney characters subtly sprinkled throughout the space and the natural vibes continue with wood, rock and modern lines.
Disney continues the trend of the last two resorts with the continuation of murphy and pull-out beds creating a better utilization of space and providing additional sleeping space throughout all of the room selections.
We also see the raised beds similar to what can be found in renovated rooms at Pop Century and other resorts as well as new construction that allows for more storage space for luggage and other items that can be tucked away.
The bathrooms show modern fixtures and glass showers giving the illusion of a larger space.
The Grand Villas and Two Bedroom villas show up a new form of modern, natural opulence with more clean lines, wood furniture, Disney character touches and minimalistic charm that allows guests to unwind and re-charge after a busy day in the parks. Lots of furniture and seating areas creates plenty of space for activities and relaxation.
The Grand Villa shows amazing wood detail work on the ceiling and more bird cage chairs which give these luxury spaces a unique touch. It also appears that we might have a marble wall in the Grand Villas or some other stone wall that provides a backdrop to the television.
The One Bedroom suites continue with the same design including what looks like an amazing bathroom complete with round soaking tub, glass shower and a glassed in toilet area.
We are loving the vibe of this new Disney resort and cannot wait to experience it once it opens. The perfect location for a resort of this nature in the trees and right on the lake at Walt Disney World. A nature retreat only a boat ride away from the Magic Kingdom and other magical experiences.
Thank you for stopping by and for the love of the mouse, never forget, that it all started with a mouse.
