The resort will be a Disney Vacation Club (DVC) resort and will be the 16th DVC property for Disney.
This latest resort (as of the time of publication) is currently scheduled to open in 2022 and Disney has said of this Deluxe Resort property that it will, “be a celebration of Walt Disney’s lifelong love and respect for nature”.
Reflections Lakeside Lodge will boast more than 900 hotel rooms and Disney Vacation Club villas and this resort will be located along the shore of Bay Lake between Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness.
The concept art that was released by Disney earlier this week shows the lobby area and includes numerous windows, highlighting the natural beauty of the area and bringing clean, modern lines inside as well as brings the outdoors inside with rock features, a lot of wood, high ceilings and an open-air concept complete with a large statue of Pocahontas.
More concept art has been released to show hallways, more of the lobby area and room details.
We are seeing a lot of industrial elements combined with natural details to give the resort what seems to be a clean, modern but naturally inspired feel and look.
The floor in the lobby and common areas appear to be either stone floors or flooring imagineered to look like a natural stone floor. We see a lot of what looks like mineral and natural stone details, tables, walls and pillars.
A lounge area that includes many more floor-to-ceiling windows, wood tables and what could possibly be wicker or steel bird cage chairs and butterfly details up one wooden wall.
The hallways boast a lot of wood. Wood ceilings, wood walls, wood details and nature-inspired art.
On the second level of the resort, is a unique fireworks viewing spot that includes similar light fixtures to what we see at Gran Destino Tower. These fireworks inspired or puff-ball inspired fixtures bring an amazing dimension to the concept art that we are excited to see in person against the nature inspired background of the resort elements.
Common area restrooms are themed towards nature inspired films like Brother Bear, Bambi and we assume Pocahontas as well.
Stay tuned for part two of this post which will show details of the rooms at Riverside Lakeside Lodge and the gorgeous elements Disney is bringing as guests unwind in this tranquil setting.
Thank you for stopping by and for the love of the mouse, never forget, that it all started with a mouse.
