On Tuesday, if you happened to be zooming in on the Tomorrowland features on the Magic Kingdom map section of the My Disney Experience app, you would have noticed that the land of tomorrow is featuring a streamlined new look.
The entry sign to Tomorrowland has had a futuristic busy look featuring shiny silver with planets and baubles throughout. On the app though, that sign is no more and the land is now featuring a sleek silver steel with only the words “Tomorrowland” slid across the circular top. Gone are the baubles and planets and we have to say, we approved. It looks more futuristic and clean.
If you toggle slightly towards the Purple Wall you will notice a large new yellow and white rocket that has taken up residence on the jagged rocks.
This new edition had not been spotted previously by us and we think we would have noticed these significant changes being made to Tomorrowland.
As of Tuesday, July 9, the sign had been removed from the Tomorrowland entrance setting the stage for these changes to come to life at Magic Kingdom.
This comes on the heels of the painting and maintenance performed in the moat recently that had the body of water completely drained for some time.
In addition, Tomorrowland saw a new paint job in recent months that added a fresh coat of white paint to many areas as well as splashes of a delightful sherbet orange, sunny yellow and cool water blue/green.
Tomorrowland Speedway also saw some improvements during its recent closure, due to Tron construction. Fresh paint for the speedway and also the cars saw new paint and maintenance as well.
We love to see a land get a good spiff and are happy to see Tomorrowland get a small face lift to bring it to send it soaring into the future.
Stay tuned for more updates and changes all throughout Walt Disney World.
