Spooktacular Experiences at Disneyland This Fall

Planning for fun fall and Halloween activities is in full swing at both Disneyland and Disneyworld. Disneyland brings spooky and fun activities and events for kids of all ages.

2Beginning on Sept. 6 and running through Oct. 31, 2019, ghoulish delights will meet you at the gates for a devilishly good time.

From decor, merchandise, overlays, meet and greets, specialty food and beverages and so much more be on the lookout for some very happy haunts to materialize and come out to socialize.

1Disneyland and California Adventure both get decked out and take part in the festivities but let’s start with Disneyland park. Right down Main Street, U.S.A., guests will encounter the giant Mickey Mouse jack-o’-lantern and other pumpkin themed decor.

Unique to the Haunted Mansion attraction at Disneyland, the haunted house gets transformed each year with a “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas” overlay. The attraction typically closes for eighteen days while castmembers work tirelessly to transform the beloved attraction. Haunted Mansion reopens in late-September with the overlay and remains open through early January with the Nightmare Before Christmas accents.

“Halloween Scream” is also returning for the first time in almost ten years to Disneyland Park. This is a projection and special effects show, select nights will also have a fireworks spectacular to go with it.

7Over at Disney California Adventure park is the new Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party. The night includes the World of Color Spectacular – Villainous as well as a stage show with the Mouse himself, a Disney villains walk-through experience, treat trails, character encounters and much more. The bash is held on select night beginning on September 17 and is a separate ticketed event. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit Disneyland.com/HalloweenParty.

6Even on non-party nights, Oogie Boogie, from “The Nightmare Before Christmas” takes over the park with decor all along Buena Vista Street as well as a brand new Halloween themed facade of Carthay Circle featuring bats! Also along Buena Vista Street, a 10-foot-tall statue of the Headless Horseman stands tall.

5Cars Land is also getting in on the Halloween fun with Haul-O-Ween. Where Radiator Springs transforms into Radiator Screams! Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree turns into Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree while Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters changes into Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween.

Over on Hollywood Land, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! transforms each night into Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark.

4There is even more spooky action over in Paradise Gardens Park. Plaza de la Familia returns for a celebration of Día de los Muertos. An immersive and festive experience, this is based around the film “Coco,” and the everlasting bonds of family with exciting live entertainment, craft making, delicious food, interactive experiences and special merchandise.
