For The Love of The Mouse

Colorado Couple Living in Walt Disney's World and Beyond!

As we mentioned in an earlier blog post, beginning in May and into 2020 Disney is rolling out a series of limited edition designer Mickey ears. The ears, when released, are available on both the Shop Disney website and also at Disney Parks and at Disney Springs.

95One pair has already been released, they are Harvey’s ears and are $78.00. The red band has denim blue with white star ears and a patriotic Mickey bow. At $78.00, they are pretty steep but hold your horses their Disney fans, Disney is about to top that in a big way.

The new Alex and Ani gold detailed Mickey ears are hitting Disney Parks and Shop Disney on July 5 and they are a pretty penny. 96

For $178.00 these gems can be yours. The delicately designed ears are intricately intertwined in gold with a simple gold wired ear and a heart in the center.

The band itself is a delicate gold as well and there is a comb in the center the better secure it to your hair.

Here are our initial thoughts from seeing the photos.

97They look incredibly uncomfortable and not anything I would consider spending that kind of dough on. For $178.00 I expect Will Smith himself to pop out of those babies when I put them on my head. Let’s be fair though. I like crazy, over the top ears. I wear sequins on sparkles on sequins and then for extra measure we are going to put some more sequins on there so to each their own. For some people, I’m sure these are the bees knees and that’s the beauty of Disney merchandise. There is something for everyone and everyone’s varying tastes.

98If you want to get some cash back on your limited edition ears purchase however, check out Ebates! You can sign up for Ebates HERE and earn cash back with every purchase you make at Shop Disney and hundreds of other sites! If you spend over $25 on the purchase through any of the shops you automatically get $10 in your Ebates account.

Stay tuned as more designer ears are released because we will be covering them right here.

Thank you for stopping by and for the love of the mouse, never forget, that it all started with a mouse.
