The Liberty Inn, a quick service restaurant inside the American Pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase will be closing on July 8 to make way for a brand new smokehouse.

Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts and Barbecue (oy with the long names again Disney) will be replacing the often overlooked Liberty Inn later this year and will feature a “modern barbecue smokehouse” that will include a large smoker big enough to accommodate Disney sized crowds and will be preparing fine barbecue cuisine adjacent to the American pavilion promenade.

31The new restaurant will also feature a patio to sit back, enjoy the sites and sounds of Epcot and the World Showcase and people watch with a bite of BBQ and a cold draft beer.

Liberty Inn is currently featuring dishes with a nod to Guardians of the Galaxy but is rarely talked about and certainly not among the popular eateries at the food mecca of Disney that is Epcot. The restaurant features classics like hamburgers, hot dogs and a cobb salad.

30It is yet to be announced what types of barbecue or beer will be featured at this new dining location but we are rooting for a variety of barbecue flavors and treats from all over the United States, highlighting the unique aspects of various styles of barbecue all throughout our great nation.

And not to be forgotten of course is America’s booming craft beer scene and we hope to see a rotation of craft brews from all over the United States highlighting some unique tastes and flavors from different locations. We are especially behind bringing some good old’ Colorado craft beers to this new spot to highlight the hoppy and bright notes only that rocky mountain refreshing water can bring to beer, but we’re not biased at all.

Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.

Thank you for stopping by and for the love of the mouse, never forget, that it all started with a mouse.
