22The heat and humidity has descended on Walt Disney World and that means your makeup will not look the same as it did when you got ready for a day full of attractions, meet and greets and of course photo pass and Instagrammable moments right? It doesn’t have to be that way. Today we are talking some great tips, tricks and products for keeping your look fresh from rope drop to kiss goodnight.

19Don’t overdo it. It’s hot and you are going to sweat, that’s the reality of a Disney vacation. Don’t overdo the makeup on your trip. Easy, natural glam is best because the more makeup you pile on, the more likely it is to run down your face. Keep it light, keep it natural, keep it simple.

Go waterproof. Eyeliner and mascara are great and must have’s for me on the daily but or Disney, I choose waterproof options or tried and true options that I know will stay put even if they aren’t “waterproof”. Go with what you  know in this department because the last thing you want is to get off Splash Mountain and have your eyeliner running all down your face. Not a good look.

Primer is key for keeping your look strong all day in the heat and humidity and probably rain of Walt Disney World. I have a few selections for you at various price points. The importance of a primer is that if properly formulated, it allows for the makeup that is put on top to stay in place and be more cohesive with the skin even in humidity. These are some of the primers that I use most often to beat the heat and humidity and maximize my makeup wear for the day.

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer – $36.00 –

122I love this product. It is a bit more expensive but totally worth having in the lineup especially for humidity or when you know that you are expecting to take a lot of photos because it doesn’t product the shiny kickback that can sometimes come with face products and certain primers and creams.

Maybelline Master Prime Blurprimer + Pore Minimizer – $9.99 –

124This is my go-to everyday primer. I love the formula on this. The only negative is that when you first apply it, it does go on in a bit of an oily fashion, but it is just the formula because as soon as it hits the skin, your skin is smooth and not oily feeling at all. It blurs and minimizes pores which is one of my biggest skin problems. I love this for use under creams and powders and is great in all climates from my perspective.

Too Faced Primed and Peachy Matte Perfecting Primer – $34.00 –

125If you don’t like scented products, this might not be for you but I love the scent of the peach products from Too Faced and this primer is awesome. Because I have oily/combination skin, and because when I’m in a more humid climate, the matte products help to decrease shine, increase wear time and keep products in place longer, this product works great. I also use this product at home and I love it for both climates and because I love the scent, that is an extra bonus for me.

Wet n Wild Photo Focus Face Primer – Matte – $5.49 –

127For the price, you can’t beat this product. Wet N Wild is such a great price point for their entire line of products and this is a great quality for the price. I enjoy this product and it is mattifying and helps with keeping makeup from sweating off or shining up. Highly recommend.

Tarte Tinted Treatment 12-Hour Primer – $37.00 –

128There are a couple of reasons that I love this product but for me, this is an all in one product. I love that this primes my face, smoothing and prepping for either powder or cream on top and I love that it does stay. This product has amazing staying power, even in humidity.

Creams and Foundation:

130I don’t wear foundation very often. And I never wear it in Disney World unless I am using a powder so I am not going to recommend products to you that I myself don’t use or haven’t tried because that is not authentic or helpful in any capacity. Why don’t I wear foundation in Orlando or really in real life for that matter? Personal preference. I don’t wear any full coverage products and I am grateful that I don’t have skin issues that would require additional coverage but I like my skin to breathe. So, here are a few of my favorite products from various price points that I keep in my arsenal and have tried and stand by in the hot and humid climate of Orlando.

Lumi Glotion – $14.99 –

131Lumi Glotion is my favorite on this list and my holy grail cream product for everyday and for Disney. The formula comes in four shades and is reasonably priced. A little goes a long way with this product and it works well as a cream by itself or under a foundation or a powder. The product gives an amazing glow and sheen to the skin and a dewy finish. I find this product to be long lasting and I have oily skin. I will say that when mixed with a translucent powder or other powder, it creates a more subtle glow and lasts even longer even and especially in humidity.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar BB Cream – $29.00 –

132This is a mattifying product and one of the reasons like I like it so much especially for a more humid climate because a product that mattifies is going to be less likely to create a longer lasting less sweaty or “wet” look on the skin. As someone with oily or combination skin, I get shiny very quickly but products like this one help to keep my look fresher longer.

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream – $8.99 –

133Maybelline always shocks me with the quality for the price you are paying. Their products can typically compare with high priced brands and this is such a gem of a BB cream. It goes on light and creamy but not oily or heavy in any way. Definitely one of my go-to products and it always gives a great finish. My favorite combination with this product is Two Faced Primed and Peachy as primer and then this BB cream.

Stila Souffle Skin Perfecting Color – $38.00 –

134This is a newer product for me but the formula is incredible. The whipped texture is outstanding and it just leaves your skin looking fresh and opulent and it works as a primer and as a cream. I am loving this product and it is soon becoming one of my must haves. This product is also really forgiving with shades because the formula is really forgiving so if you do order a shade that might not be perfect, it corrects itself and makes itself work. A little pricey but so far I am loving it and think it is worth every penny.

These are some of my favorite primers and cream products that I am loving for humid climates to keep my skin looking fresh. All different price points and all work really for me. It is important to remember that products work different for everyone but these products are awesome.

Stay tuned for Part 2 of this series which will include powders, concealers and setting sprays.

Thank you for stopping by and for the love of the mouse, never forget, that it all started with a mouse.
