In a galaxy far far away and also in California and Florida, thousands and thousands of Star Wars fans are preparing to descend on Batuu. As we get closer to the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge which is happening on May 31 and in Disney’s Hollywood Studios on August 29, we are constantly learning more details about what to expect.
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo is the quick service restaurant opening with Phase 1 at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge joining the other dining and drink options, Ronto Roasters and Oga’s Cantina. The restaurant will be at both Disneyland and Disney World Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge lands and will feature the same menus.
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and will offer a wide variety of options and folks, let me tell you, this is not your typical theme park food.
Here is a look at what we can expect.
Breakfast options at Docking Bay 7 include the Bright Suns Morning which is a three cheese egg bite with pork sausage, purple potato hash and a mini version of the Mustafarian Lava Roll.
The Mustafarian Lava Roll is a sweet treat reminiscent of a cinnamon or sweet roll complete with a bright red icing and what appears to be some sort of cookie crumb or possible crunchy goodness on top.
We also have the Rising Moon Overnight Oats with oats (of course) dragon fruit (what!) yogurt and also seasonal fruit.
There are also some unique beverage selections available for breakfast. Moof Juice combines Simply Fruit Punch with Simply Orange Juice and chipotle-pineapple. Phattro is an unsweetened iced tea mixed with lemonade and dessert pear juice. There is also a kombucha option, the Batuubucha tea is a pineapple passion fruit kombucha. Now, I know what you are saying and yes, passion fruit is one of my absolute favorite food items on the planet or in the galaxy for that matter. But, I despise kombucha and will not be trying this.
For lunch, guests will be able to delight in flavorful dishes of all varieties including the Felucian Garden Spread with pita, kefta, a plant based item , an herb hummus and a tomato and cucumber salad. Another plant based item that will be available is the Ithorian Garden Loaf, a vegetarian version of a meatloaf served with roasted vegetables, a vegetable mash and a mushroom based sauce.
The Smoke Kaduu Ribs are a smoked pork rib served with a blueberry corn muffin and cabbage slaw. The Braised Shaak Roast is a hearty beef option, a pot roast served with cavatelli pasta, kale, and mushrooms.
There is also the Fried Endorian Tip Yip is a chicken dish complete with a veggie mash and herb gravy. In addition, there is a second version of this dish that is oven roasted and served with quinoa and mixed greens and a curry ranch dressing.
In the mood for fish? Docking Bay 7 has you covered there as well. There are two seafood dishes currently on the menu. The Oven Roasted Burra Fish is served in the same fashion as the Oven Roasted Tip Yip and there is also the Yobshrimp Noodle Salad.
The dessert selections look positively out of this galaxy with a raspberry cream puff with a passion fruit mousse and a chocolate cake with coffee custard.
Stay tuned as we cover Oga’s Cantina and Ronto Roasters to round out the food offerings opening with Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
