Welcome to For Love of the Mouse. We are so excited that you stopped by. On our blog, we cover all things Disney and beyond. Come for the Disney, stay for the lifestyle, health, beauty and more! Be sure to follow us on Instagram at ForLoveOfMouse, on Facebook at For The Love of The Mouse and on YouTube at For Love of The Mouse. Let’s get started!
Disneyland is bringing guests a fun new experience for the gram and beyond! Pop Up Disney is coming to Disneyland bringing an interactive photo event to guests. Pop up photo opportunities have been wildly popular across a variety of mediums and remains a staple for social media influencers to highlight products and companies while using vibrant and unique photo backgrounds.
This is not a free event. Tickets run from $30 to $38 per person for this timed event, with advance reservations required. Tickets are available through Disney’s website.
The event, titled, Pop Up Disney! A Mickey Celebration opens Friday, April 26 and includes five hours of free parking in the Downtown Disney lot.
Located in what was formerly the ESPNZone restaurant in Downtown Disney, the event features seven rooms of photo opportunities themed to the iconic mouse duo Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
Important to note, these are not character meet and greets, they are brightly and uniquely themed walls and backgrounds featuring a variety of trendy things such as Mickey balloon popcorn buckets, Disney snacks, a giant polka dot minnie bow couch, an entire wall of black and white Mickey plushes (sign me up) a vibrant purple and pink striped wall complete with lovey dovey photos of the duo and so so much more!
These photo installations are designed to be a social media dream, influencers unite for this first of its kind (for Disney) with so many backdrops for instagrammable photo opportunities unique (thus far) to our friends on the west coast.
Never before has Disney tried this concept to this scale. There are always incredible photo opps and magic shot opportunities at Disney. Disney has never shied away from that and have always embraced that aspect of their brand. But, never before has there been an extra ticketed event purely for the sole reason of creating amazing and unique photo opps mostly for, of course, social media.
Should this social media experiment work, we are very likely to see more of these from Disney in the future as the brand continues to embrace and encourage influencers and homegrown media to spread their brand message. So, if this is something that is a success in the eyes of Disney, we are likely to see this come to Walt Disney World and other Disney parks and areas of the brand.
Golly! Mickey Mouse fans in Southern California better get their Instagram accounts ready and their selfie fingers primed, because the all-new Pop-Up Disney! A Mickey Celebration installation is ready to open at Disneyland Resort’s Downtown Disney District this Friday.
We sure hope that this Pop-Up Disney! A Mickey Celebration is a success because I’m going to be 100% honest with you, I would absolutely pay to take hundreds of photos in these seven vibrant and adorable rooms that represent 90 years of influence, inspiration and fun of my favorite pal.
I am floored by the creativity of the photos that I have seen. The rooms and installations look so amazing and different and I just love seeing them. I could look at them all day. Absolute kudos to Disney and the creative minds behind this for pulling this together.
“Fans of all ages are invited to a limited-time experience paying tribute to the mouse of the hour,” According to Disney Parks Blog. “From cupcakes, waffles and ice cream bars to fantastical floral arrangements, those lovable ears have appeared all over the parks throughout the years. And now you can become immersed in some of his most familiar scenarios.”
There will be treats too! Sweet event inspired treats will be available at Marceline’s Confectionary but don’t forget your event ticket because those are required in order to purchase the special items.
There is also a merchandise space (of course) at the end of the event so be sure to check out all the pop up specific merch to go along with these fun photo opps.
We are excited to see how this is received by fans and hopefully excited to experience a similar event ourselves!
Thank you for stopping by and for the love of the mouse, never forget, that it all started with a mouse.
