More Lion King magic is coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom ahead of the live action remake of the Disney classic.

67A new special event is set to begin on July 24, 2019 called Circle of Flavors: Harambe at Night. This spectacular and unique family friendly progressive dining event is a first for Animal Kingdom.

According to Disney, Circle of Flavors: Harambe at Night will celebrate “some of the most majestic and endangered African animals and celebrating the beloved story of The Lion King.”

62The event starts out with a welcome reception at the Wildlife Express Train Station, then via train guests will travel to Rafiki’s Planet Watch, then end at Harambe Market. The evening will highlight the “sights, sounds, and scrumptious flavors in celebration of The Lion King” and will include appearances by some of Animal Kingdom’s largest hosts, the African elephant, the rhinoceros, the Cape buffalo, the leopard, and the lion. Guests will have the chance to learn more about the threats to these crucial creatures and what can be done to protect them and our environment.

61Where exactly will you be dining? The Wildlife Express Train Station will host hors d’oeuvres, snacks, and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and will include themed music.

Rafiki’s Planet Watch will include even more lighter fare and beverages and will feature Timon and Pumba for character meet and greets.

The stop at Harambe Market will be the main dining event, with an array of sweet and savory dishes paired with unique and tasty beverages.

66Reservations will be available beginning now for dates beginning July 24, 2019, and can be secured online or by calling 407-WDW-DINE. Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members can book starting April 2nd by calling 407-WDW-DINE. Pricing is $125 plus tax for adults and $99 plus tax for children ages 3-9 and separate park admission is required in addition to the dining event purchase.
