2Beginning in fall 2019 (exact date not yet disclosed), guests will be able to discover a new vantage point of some of Walt Disney World property; an aerial view! The newest mode of transportation coming to Walt Disney World is the Disney Skyliner.

A state-of-the-art gondola system will allow seamless connection from Disney’s Hollywood Studios and International Gateway at Epcot to the following Walt Disney World Resort hotels: Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort and the brand new, Disney’s Riviera Resort.

8.jpgIn addition, addition resorts are a walkable distance to a Skyliner station including Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, Disney’s Beach Club Resort and Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, where guests can find magical entertainment and dining.

Not only will guests experience breathtaking views but this unique experience will get you where you need to go on property and provide a relaxing and gorgeous new transportation option.

1Traveling at speeds of approximately 11 mph, guests will be moving swiftly to their destination. On average, the typical ride on this magical mode of transportation will last between five and 15 minutes. Those with a fear of heights should take heed that the gondolas will travel at heights ranging from fifteen feet to sixty feet in the air.

18Guests will be seated on two wooden benches inside the Gondola which can hold up to ten passengers. The entire Gondola system is rumored to hold as many passengers as Disney’s Monorail system.

40Testing on the Disney Skyliner system has been ongoing since January 2019 starting at Disney’s Hollywood Studios which is the farthest along in construction of the Skyliner stations at the time of publication.

5Some but not all of the gondolas will be feature Disney characters and films. Characters included on several of the Gondola’s are of course the fab five and Chip and Dale along with, Beauty and the Beast, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Frozen characters, Lilo and Stitch, Moana, favorite ghouls from the Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean and Coco.

6We’re excited to soar above the trees on the Disney Skyliner system this fall and can’t wait to take you along with us. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.

Thank you for stopping by and for the love of the mouse, never forget, that it all started with a mouse.
