First Look at Food and Wine and International Festival of the Holidays

Welcome back to our blog. We talk all things Disney World and beyond and we are excited that you could join us! Be sure to follow us on Instagram at ForLoveOfMouse, on Facebook at For The Love of The Mouse and on YouTube at For Love of The Mouse.

41The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is back for 2019 and will run August 29-November 23 making it the longest Food & Wine Festival in the park’s history at 87 days beating out the 2018 festival which clocked a (then) record number 75 days!

Highlights returning for 2019 include the festival’s Eat to the Beat Concert Series which will run from August 29 through November 19. Acts featured will include starts of pop, rock, R&B, country, Christian, swing and Latin genres.

62Why would the festival be ending early you may ask? Epcot will need a few extra days to prepare for the return of Candlelight Processional, our absolute favorite event at Walt Disney World, a can’t miss for us each and every year. You can learn more about Candlelight Processional HERE!

Other returning events for the most famous Epcot festival include special appearances from celebrity and Disney chefs, culinary demonstrations, dine dining special events and of course those food booths.

375No word yet on just how many food booths will be at the 2019 festival but with over 30 booths to choose from in 2018, we anticipate our old favorites to be returning and wait with baited breath to see what new creations and booths will debut for 2019!

Important to note, because Chase is no longer a Festival Sponsor, Chase Disney Visa Cardholders have no access to early booking this year.

Be sure to stay tuned right here for more details as they become available on the 2019 Food and Wine Festival only at Epcot!

17Also returning for 2019, the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays. Many downplay this event and for some they are even bold enough to say this is their least favorite of the Epcot festivals but here at For the Love of the Mouse, we beg to differ.

12One of the shortest festivals for sure, this showcase of holidays treats and traditions is one of the most magical times of year at Epcot. From culinary holiday dishes highlighting traditional dishes from around the world to the ever beloved Candlelight Processional, skits and stories of holiday traditions throughout the world and exceptional holiday decor, there is something for everyone at the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays.

The 2019 Epcot International Festival of the Holidays will run from November 29-December 30.

63Candlelight Processional a celebrity narrator who shares the biblical Christmas story along with a 50-piece orchestra and choir. The choir’s include castmembers and choir’s from around the country who enhance the performances each night. Three performances take place nightly at 5:00, 6:45, and 8:15 pm.

While food is still highlighted at this festival, there are so many other traditional elements from around the world to take part in as well. Grab yourself a few holiday dishes and watch as Pere Noel tells of French traditions. Also be on the look for Belle in her amazing maroon velvet Christmas outfit.
