Snacking Around Magic Kingdom

Hi there! Welcome to another post! Today, we are going to talk about the top five snack credit options at Magic Kingdom. These are, of course, my picks for the top snack credits, and I’d love to hear if yours are different. Leave a comment and let us know what snacks you love and what makes your top five list!

First off, let’s start on Main Street at the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor. This is a staple for ice cream lover’s in Walt Disney World and my husband simply cannot have a trip to Magic Kingdom without stopping into this place and getting their ice cream sandwich! You get two big chocolate chip cookies and then you get to select which type of ice cream you want. They typically have, vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, no sugar added butter pecan, raspberry sorbet and flavor. You can also add a sauce, they have chocolate, peanut butter and caramel to the top of your sandwich. This thing is huge! My husband, the ice cream fan, has a hard time finishing this by himself so it is definitely big enough to share or just give it a go and let us know how you fared!

Next, we are going to wander over to Sleepy Hollow Refreshments for the sweet and spicy chicken and waffle sandwich. We have to throw something savory in there after all! This is a big waffle, stuffed with slaw and fried chicken dipped in a tangy, slightly spicy sauce. It’s great. I love the mixture of the slaw and the chicken with the waffle. It’s a great twist on an old favorite and I highly recommend giving it a go.

Next stop! Aloha Aisle! We have a brand new menu item on here but you can always go with the old standby too. I am so excited to give the upside down pineapple cake topped with dole whip a shot because it just came out this month and it looks amazing. Most of the reviews I’ve read and the people I’ve talked to who have tried it say it is a must get! If you aren’t a fan of the upside down pineapple cake, go for the plain dole whip here. It is, after all, a cult classic at Magic Kingdom.

castle1Gaston’s Tavern is next for Gaston’s Cinnamon Roll! Tip here too, most of the time, if you ask, they will put extra icing on it and since I love my icing much more than I love the actual cinnamon roll itself, I will always suggest you do this. This thing is huge! Big enough to share for sure. It’s the same cinnamon roll that has been at Magic Kingdom for years just now located at Gaston’s Tavern and that icing is amazing. A must try for sure!

Last but not least, we are headed back to Main Street to the Plaza Restaurant. I debated putting this on here because you have to have a reservation to eat here but this treat is still a snack credit on the Disney Dining Plan so I’m putting it on my list. The Plaza fries. These also have a cult following at Walt Disney World. They are eerily similar to the old Figaro Fries that were available many moons ago and these babies are huge! French fries topped with tomatoes, ranch dressing, bacon, cheddar cheese, lettuce and more. If you are eating at Plaza Restaurant make sure these make their way to your table.

That’s it for this post. I hope you enjoyed our tour of snacks around Magic Kingdom. Did your Magic Kingdom faves make the list? If not, be sure to comment below on what your top snacks are. Thanks for stopping by, we’ll see ya’ real soon; and for the love of the mouse, never forget, that it all started with a mouse.
